HPSC Project Partners Advance Development of the Online Coach Education Course

The Health Promoting Sports Clubs (HPSC) research project partners met in Nancy, France, in June 16-18 for a productive consortium meeting to review project progress, coordinate upcoming activities, and continue developing the online coach education platform that will support sports coaches in integrating health promotion into their everyday coaching practices.

A key milestone celebrated during this event was the successful completion of the video recording of the script course material. These recordings will form an important part of the online learning experience, with the course expected to be available by the end of the year. Partners acknowledged the collaborative effort involved in transforming the project's research into practical learning resources for coaches.

Discussions focused on ensuring consistency across the training materials, refining the evaluation methodology, and coordinating the translation from English into several additional languages by the end of August. The consortium also confirmed ongoing collaboration on dissemination activities, including preparations for the final conference planned for Fall 2027.

The meeting highlighted the strong commitment of all partners to delivering a high-quality, evidence-based educational course that will help sports coaches promote health and wellbeing through their coaching.

TAFISA is pleased to be part of the HPSC Project, which aligns closely with TAFISA Mission 2030, focusing on strengthening the capacity of coaches to create healthier, more inclusive, and people-centred sport environments that contribute to active and thriving communities.

This project is co-funded by Erasmus + Sport (European Education and Culture Executive Agency) (EACEA).
